The lower left figure is Roberts diagram generating two linkages with identical coupler curve as the original linkage, Chebyschev linkage, shown on top. The simulation file shown in the lower right separates the three linkages in the Roberts diagram and animate. The Hoeken linkage, the cognate on the left of the Chebyschev linkage, is a Grashof crank-rocker. To trace the straight-line curve, the Hoeken linkage is more practical than the Chebyschev linkage, a Grashof double-rocker.
