• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1 (included) or later
• CD-ROM drive
• VGA or higher-resolution monitor; Super VGA recommended
• Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device
• 24 MB RAM for Windows 95 or later (48 MB recommended) [See 'Note' below.]
• 32 MB for Windows NT 4.0 or later (48 MB recommended)
• Disk space required for basic install of VC++ only: 266 MB typical, 370 MB maximum
• Disk Space required for VC++ and Service Pack install: 345 MB
• (NOTE: Because the Service Pack mostly replaces files, it only adds about 30 MB typically)
• Disk Space required for all contents of this CD is about 380 MB

Windows 2000 and XP Users
Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Introductory Edition can be installed on either version of Windows. To successfully install the program you will need to be logged in as administrator. The MS-DOS Prompt has been replaced by the Command Prompt on both Windows 2000 and XP.

• When using the Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, Introductory Edition, software you will receive a message each time you execute an executable file. This software, provided free of charge, is designed for use on a single system for learning and experimentation. There is no way to disable the appearance of this message.
