Adding a Calculated Control to a Report Section

To add a calculated control:

  1. Click the Text Box button in the Toolbox.
  2. Click the place in the report where you want the new control to appear.
  3. Change the label text.
  4. Click the text control box once to select it.
  5. Click again and type the = sign.
  6. Type the expression to be calculated.
  7. Press Enter when you are finished.
  8. Click the Preview button to see the results of the new calculated control.

To create a calculated control, click the Text Box button in the Toolbox and then click where you want the control to appear. Change the label text. In the text control box, type the expression to be calculated. Be sure to begin the expression with an equal sign. Press Enter when you are finished. Align your control and label if necessary. Switch to Preview View to see the results of the new calculated control.
