- Menu bar click a menu name to view the list of commands. Click a command to execute the command.
- Toolbar groups of buttons that allow quick access to common commands.
- Help area for you to learn more about how to do things in the application.
Although each application functions differently, they all have some common elements which you should become familiar with. First, each application opens in a window with a title bar describing the application and the currently active file. Below the title bar is the menu bar. Here you will be able to access any command you need by clicking a menu name and then clicking a command on the menu. Some applications have toolbars. Toolbars are groups of buttons which give you quick access to some of the most commonly used commands. If you are unsure how to do something, open the application's Help file. Here you can browse and search for topics learning how to use the application.
