Finding and Replacing Formatting in Cells

The Find and Replace commands can be used to locate formatting in a document. Find and Replace allows you to find specific instances of formatting and replace them with different formatting, either one instance at a time or automatically throughout the document.

To find and replace formatting:

  1. Select Replace... from the Edit menu.
  2. Click the Options button.
  3. Click the Format... button next to the Find what: box and select the format you want to find.
  4. Click the Format... button next to the Replace with: box and select the format you want to use.
  5. Click Replace All.
  6. Click OK on the message that appears; then click Close on the Find and Replace dialog box.

The following keyboard shortcuts can be used to apply the Find and Replace commands:
