Inserting Rows and Columns

To insert rows and columns:

  1. To insert a row, place your cursor in a cell in the row below where you want the new row.
  2. Click the Insert menu and select Rows.
  3. To insert a column, place your cursor in a cell in the column to the right of where you want the new column.
  4. Click the Insert menu and select Columns.

To insert a row in your worksheet, first place your cursor in the row below where you want the new row. Open the Insert menu and select Rows. To insert a column in your worksheet, place your cursor in the column to the right of where you want the new column. Open the Insert menu and select Columns.
