Applying a New Design to the Presentation
A design template contains predefined styles for your slides, including background images, colors, text placeholders, bullet styles, and fonts. When applying design templates to your presentations, be sure to choose designs which will complement your content.
To apply a new design:
- Click the Design button on the Formatting toolbar to display the Slide Design task pane.
- Click the design template you want to apply to your presentation.
Click the Design Template down arrow and select Show large previews to view a larger thumbnail of each template.
When you first create a presentation using a template, the slide master for your presentation is created. When you apply a new design to your presentation, PowerPoint adds a new slide master with the new design. If you want to be sure that your entire presentation will have the same design, you can turn off the Multiple Masters feature. To do this, select Options on the Tools menu. Click the Edit Tab and select Multiple Masters under Disable new features.
To apply a design template to all the slides in your presentation, you can also:
- Click the Design Template down arrow and select Apply to all slides from the menu.
- Right-click the template and select Apply to all slides from the menu.
