ORACLE ENHANCES DISCOVERER/2000 ANALYSIS OF ORACLE APPLICATIONS DATA

Oracle and Noetix Corp. Team to Deliver New Product to Present Valuable Financial and Manufacturing Data in an Intuitive End User Display

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., April 23, 1996-Oracle Corp. today announced that Discoverer/2000, its end-user tool for viewing information stored in relational OLTP systems and data warehouses, will provide enhanced analysis of data generated and stored in Oracle Applications. Oracle will work with Noetix Corp., a provider of business views for Oracle Applications, who will develop a new product which will automatically populate.

Discoverer/2000's End User Layer to enable non-technical end-users to easily view critical application data.

"Now with Discoverer/2000 and NoetixViews customers can benefit from powerful, real-time business intelligence capabilities with their applications systems." Discoverer/2000 and NoetixViews will provide a comprehensive business intelligence solution allowing customers to leverage corporate information captured in their Oracle Applications systems. The NoetixViews generator will automatically populate the End User Layer of Discoverer/2000 to reflect the customers custom information and allow users to analyze data which relates specifically to their business needs without any additional customization. The End User Layer in Discoverer/2000 provides a business-like representation of the complex data held in the applications systems. This allows non-technical users to query, chart and analyze their applications data effectively.
