This readme file provides additional information about the CD-ROM to accompany Thermodynamics, Fourth Edition, ISBN 007-238-3321. NOTE to Windows NT users: During the startup of this CD, you may encounter the following error message. "Director Player Error. This application requires an Xtra (ActiveX...) that either does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Please make sure the appropriate Xtras are in the Xtras folder(s)." This error will not prevent proper operation of the CD-ROM or any of its features. Simply click the OK button to continue. There are many features available on this CD-ROM. This CD has an autorun feature, which should start the opening video, display the user licensing information, and then open the menu. Please note that the autorun feature does not operate properly when using the Windows 2000 Operating System. If the autorun feature does not open, please select Start/Run and then browse to your CD-ROM drive. You will find the file Thermo.exe on the CD-ROM. Simply Run the Thermo.exe file to view all the features of this product. You may view the Thermodynamics Tutorial either from the CD-ROM or by installing the files to your hard drive. Running the tutorial from the CD-ROM is performed by choosing the correct menu button. Or, after installing the files to your hard drive, please select Start/Programs/Thermodynamics Tutorial/runa5w32 to start the tutorial program. The program will prompt you for the file to start. After selecting the Intr_Thermo.a5r file, you will be ready to start viewing the tutorial. Please note that some tutorial menu choices appear to do nothing. The product was designed this way intentionally to allow expansion and addition of the missing files at some time in the future.
