The
#VisualBasic F.A.Q. is the result of a collaborative
effort between four VB professionals in an attempt to
provide an information packed reference material for the
programming language and IRC (Internet Relay Chat)
channel we all use. The goal for it is to provide a
cornucopia of information and answers on many of the
issues/questions that routinely arise as a VB programmer
and to introduce people to IRC and #VisualBasic.
This web site has been
kind enough to offer to host one of the official
distribution sites for this F.A.Q. and in doing so is
helping to provide the Visual Basic developers around the
world with information contained within.
We would like to express
our gratitude to this site and the many others that are
helping to distribute this F.A.Q. We would also like to
express our thanks to our families, the #VisualBasic IRC
Channel, and to the readers of this F.A.Q. for their
continued support.

We currently offer the FAQ in two versions, a HTML
document and a Word97 document. While we have tried to
keep the conversion as accurate as possible we did reach
some brick walls when it came to the formatting
capabilities of HTML. Therefore we strongly urge you to
use the Word97 version if at all possible, but still
provide the HTML version for those who wish to use it
instead. The only major difference is much of the source
code in the FAQ will be a little distorted in the HTML
version but it is still quite readable/usable.
You have the option to
- View
this document as HTML (View Document)
- Download
a Word 97 version of the document. The
"Download Document" is a
self-extracting executable.
- If
you do not have Word 97 installed you can either
click the "View Document" or install
the Word 97 document viewer by clicking
"Download Document Viewer".
