The Help program provides three basic ways in which you can access information in a Help file: a table of contents, an Answer Wizard, and an index. To display the Help information file's table of contents, follow these steps:
1. Ask the office assistant a question and click Search.
2. Select one of the answer buttons.
3. Click the Show button and then click the Contents Tab.
To open the Help information file to a particular chapter, double-click one of the book icons to the left of the chapters listed in the table of contents. To open a particular chapter section, double-click it. The Help text appears in the window on the right. In Figure 3 you can see what all these little icons and the Help text look like.
In addition to browsing through Help using the Contents tab, you can also use the Answer Wizard or Index tab.
The Answer Wizard tab, works much the same as the Office Assistant. Type your question, click Search, and then click a topic. Its information is displayed in the window on the right. Click an underlined subtopic to display its text.
When you click the Index tab, Windows displays a two-level index of Help topics. To find a Help topic, you can scroll through this list using the Page Up and Page Down keys or the scroll bar. You can also type a brief description of the Help topic you want to find into the text box. When you see the Help topic you want to read listed, just double-click it.
