Assigning a Task to Someone Else

As long as your computer is connected to a network that uses the Microsoft Exchange Server, you can hand off a task to someone else. Follow these steps to do so:

1.      Choose File | New | Task Request. You see a Task dialog box similar to the one in Figure 21-8, but this Task dialog box also has a To button.

2.      Fill in the Task dialog box (see "Entering Tasks on the Tasks Screen," earlier in this chapter, if you need help).

3.      Click the To button and tell Outlook to whom you want to assign the task.

4.      Click the Send button.

In due time you receive a notice in your Inbox from the other person about whether or not they care to do the task you assigned.
