To tell Access that you want to create a query, click the Query button on the Database window and either click the New button or choose Insert | Query. You see the New Query dialog box shown in the following illustration. Query Wizards are available for creating simple (select) queries, crosstab queries, and queries for finding duplicate records and unmatched records. Choose a Wizard option to create one of those queries. To design your own query, make sure Design View is selected in the New Query dialog box, and then click OK.
