To create a custom publication on a special size of paper or envelope, or to specify a special fold, you can create a custom publication. To create a custom publication, follow these steps:
1. Click the Blank Publications tab of the Microsoft Publisher Catalog.
2. Click the Custom Page button. Publisher displays the Page Setup dialog box shown in Figure 30-6.
3. In the Choose A Publication Layout section, click a button to tell Publisher what you want to customize.
4. Use the boxes and buttons for the layout option you chose to specify the custom settings:
· For Normal layout, select the page orientation.
· For Special Fold, select how the publication should fold, the dimensions of the paper, and the orientation of the page.
· For Special Size, enter the dimensions of the paper and select the page orientation.
· For Labels, select the label style number.
· For Envelopes, select a standard envelope size or enter custom envelope dimensions.
5. Click OK. Publisher creates a blank publication based on your settings.
Tip: To change the page setup after you’ve already created a publication, choose File | Page Setup. Note that although you can use the Page Setup dialog box to change the page layout and dimensions of a publication you created using a wizard, it’s usually not advisable to do so unless the adjustments you make are only slight. Publisher’s templates were designed to fit the default page size and layout, so if you change the page size or layout, the designs may not look as good on the page.
